Canceling Crunchyroll takes about two minutes if you subscribed directly on their website. If you signed up through the iOS app, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon, you'll need to cancel through that billing source instead. This guide covers every path so you don't get charged again.
Before You Start
Check where you actually pay for Crunchyroll. Open the Crunchyroll app or website, go to your account settings, and look at Membership Status. It will tell you if your subscription is billed by Crunchyroll directly, Apple, Google, Roku, or Amazon.
If you subscribed through a third party like the App Store, Crunchyroll customer service cannot cancel it for you. You have to go through that platform.
Cancel Crunchyroll on the Website
This is the method for anyone who signed up directly at Crunchyroll.com with a credit card or PayPal.
- Go to Crunchyroll.com and sign in.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select Account from the dropdown menu.

Tips and Common Problems
"Cancel Membership" button is missing. This almost always means you subscribed through Apple, Google, Roku, or Amazon. Check the Membership Status page to see which provider handles your billing.
You still got charged after canceling. Confirm the cancellation date on your email receipt. If the charge came after that date, contact support with your order number and a screenshot of the confirmation email.
You want to pause instead of cancel. Crunchyroll doesn't offer a formal pause option. Your only choices are to cancel now and resubscribe later or downgrade to the Fan tier if you're on Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan.
You have an active game or offline download. Cancellation doesn't remove your access until the paid period ends, but downloaded episodes will expire once your membership lapses.
Family plan cancellation. If you're on Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan with family sharing, canceling ends access for all invited household members at the end of the billing cycle.
Screenshot your cancellation confirmation. If a charge appears later, this is the fastest evidence to get a refund.
Deleting Your Account Entirely
Canceling stops the billing but leaves your account and watch history intact. If you want to delete the account itself, sign in and go to Account > Delete Account, or submit a request through the Help Center. Account deletion is permanent and can't be reversed, so cancel first and only delete if you're sure.
