Canceling Discovery Plus takes about two minutes if you signed up directly through the website. If you subscribed through a third party like Roku or Apple, you'll need to cancel where you're billed. This guide walks you through both paths and covers what happens after you cancel.
Before You Start
Figure out where you're billed. This is the single most common source of confusion. Check your credit card statement or email receipts for a charge from "Discovery+," "Roku," "Apple.com/Bill," "Amazon," or "Google."
You can only cancel through the platform that's charging you. Canceling on the Discovery Plus website will not stop a Roku or Apple charge.
Cancel Directly Through Discovery Plus (Web)
Use this method if you signed up at discoveryplus.com or through the Discovery+ app on Android with direct billing.
- Go to discoveryplus.com and sign in with your email and password.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select Account from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll to the Manage Plan section and click Cancel Plan.
- Follow the prompts, confirming your cancellation on the final screen.
- Check your inbox for a confirmation email. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, your cancellation may not have gone through.
Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, so keep watching until then.
Cancel Through the Discovery+ Mobile App
The in-app steps mirror the website, but note that iOS users almost always need to cancel through Apple instead.
- Open the Discovery+ app and tap your profile icon.
- Tap Account or the settings gear.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Tap Cancel Plan and confirm.
If the app sends you to a browser or to your device's subscription settings, follow that path. That's the app telling you your billing lives somewhere else.
Check whether your purchase is still within the return window.

- Find Discovery+ and click Cancel Channel or Cancel Subscription.

Common Problems and Fixes
You don't see a Cancel Plan button. You're signed in through a third-party provider. Check the payment source on your bank statement.
You have two Discovery+ accounts. This happens when people sign up on the web, then again through Roku or Apple. Cancel both and check both email addresses.
You canceled but got charged again. Confirm the cancellation email exists. If it does, contact Discovery+ Help and attach a screenshot. If it doesn't, your cancellation never processed.
You canceled a Max bundle by accident. Discovery+ and Max merged content in some regions. If you're a Max subscriber getting Discovery content, you'll need to manage the Max subscription instead.
After You Cancel
You can keep streaming until your billing period ends. Log into your account near that date to confirm the end date. Discovery Plus won't send reminder emails as the date approaches.
Your watch history and profile stay saved for a period after cancellation, so resubscribing later picks up where you left off.
